Green Yellow – Kahawai Series

The Green Yellow Kahawai Series jigs are a great option for kahawai, snapper, mackerel, and other mid-sized inshore species. Kohes in particular hit this colour hard, making it a handy lure to keep in the kit.

These jigs can be fished several different ways:

• Slow pitch
• Slow jig
• High-speed vertical jigging
• Horizontal jigging / shore pitching
• Trolled behind the boat

A simple and effective approach is letting the jig drop to the bottom, then lifting and winding to bring on the bite.

Each lure comes rigged with a single Mustad hook, strong enough to hold up when bigger fish turn up. A tail stinger can be added if you like, but it can sometimes lead to more than one fish on the line at once.

The lures are hand painted in a tough powdercoat that’s also UV-bright — shine a UV torch on them and you’ll see the effect. The UV helps once you’re fishing deeper than 30 metres, where normal colours fade quickly.
